Volunteer

While PID does not have any paid job openings, we’re always looking for new volunteers to complete the constant list of jobs that are always needed done! To volunteer to work with PID, please fill out the form that best fits your interest:

Are you interested in being on our list of local volunteers to help on an as-needed basis?     Intern positions currently open in our Ipswich office:

    1. PR Assistant Manager - Assist PID staff in all aspects of donor & media relations (including social media). Must be web-proficient, have a clear writing style, and possess a confident and pleasant telephone demeanor.
    2. Communications & Database Assistant Manager – Assist PID staff with database management as we seek to retain new donors through follow-up and continued communication (both e-mail and mailing databases). Must possess a keen attention to detail; experience with database management preferred.
    3. Travel Liaison – Help PID staff with the details involved in sending frequent volunteer relief & recovery trips to Port au Prince, Haiti. Responsibilities include: contacting potential travel volunteers, booking and (if necessary) altering airline reservations, keeping a tidy ledger of all trip participants and their travel and payment details, communicating with the bookkeeper concerning up-to-the minute trip payments, billing volunteers for trip costs, and following up with tardy payments.
    4. Child Sponsorship Liaison - Manage all U.S. based aspects of PID’s child sponsorship program. Responsibilities include: tracking sponsors’ payments, updating child sponsorship database, following up with new sponsors, updating our website’s list of children available for sponsorship, organizing mailings of bi-yearly cards from children in Haiti and Guatemala to their sponsors in the U.S. French and/or Spanish language skills preferred.
