The Guatemalan Girl Doll

PID is thrilled to announce that our collection of handmade dolls is now available!

The Guatemalan Boy Doll

In Village Conception, Guatemala and Blanchard, Haiti local women have been busy hand-crafting dolls for PID. Not only will these dolls bring joy to those who purchase one, but they also provide work in the villages we serve. All proceeds from the dolls will help fund PID’s medical and educational programs. PID will be releasing a new doll each year with its own story – watch for the 2010 doll in the months to come!

The Guatemalan dolls are each hand-crafted in Village Conception, Guatemala, a rural Mayan Village home to thousands living in extreme poverty. The Haitian dolls are each hand-crafted in Blanchard, Haiti, a small village just outside of Port-au-Prince.

Each one of a kind doll stands 12″ high and features intricate details that represent the country in which they were created. From woven baskets on their heads to traditional dress, they are too cute to pass up!

Dolls are handcrafted from local materials; body and clothing are 100% cotton and cotton polyester fibers, and contain both natural and synthetic dye. The body is stuffed with 100% polyester fill. Sandals are made from leather. Please note that these limited edition dolls do present a choking hazard and are not recommended for children under the age of three.
